Next presentation of the book on the person as the face of transcendence in Rome

On Tuesday, April 16th, the book “The Person – Face of Transcendence”, edited by Father Massimo Serretti, will be presented at the Teresianum Faculty of Theology of the Pontifical Institute of Spirituality. The work collects the anthropological reflection of the participants of the Nemi Seminar, a study group that seeks to delve deeper into the mystery of man.

As Martín Ugarteche, one of the participants of the Nemi Seminar, explains to us, “one of the riches of the book is that it presents us with great authors who have been sensitive to how the Mystery of Christ illuminates the mystery of man and who can serve as inspiration. for future generations, to be the continuers of that reflection.

Personally, I believe that being inspired by these authors is like walking on the shoulders of giants, in the fascinating task of knowing, in greater and greater depth, what it means to be a man,” shares Martín.

An unpublished translation of a text by Karol Wojtyla

The organizers of the event have informed us that this book includes a text by Karol Wojtyla, never before translated from Polish into Italian. In a particular way, this writing, dated 1951, just over ten years before the beginning of the Second Vatican Council, delves into how the mystery of the incarnate Word illuminates the mystery of man.

Who will be the speakers of this event?

This presentation will be moderated by Rocco Buttiglione and Markus Krienke, which can be followed in person at the Teresianum or online through the YouTube channel of the San Pablo Catholic University.

Rocco Buttiglione, disciple of influential thinkers such as Don Giussani, Augusto Del Noce and Karol Wojtyła. Among his most recognized works are “The Thought of Karol Wojtyla” and “On Subjective Truth,” both with a significant impact in the academic field and beyond.
