Christmas is Jesus: Solidarity Campaigns this December 2024
This December, the Christian Life Movement (CLM) is carrying out the solidarity campaigns “Navidad es Jesús” (“Christmas is Jesus”) to remind us of and live the true spirit of Christmas. In a world often distracted by lights and gifts, these initiatives invite us to focus on the birth of Jesus, the reason for this celebration, and to share His love with those most in need.

“Christmas is Jesus,” which spans various countries such as Peru, Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Ecuador, brings together thousands of volunteers, including youth and families, united in sharing the hope, joy, and love of Christ during this special season.
The activities of “Christmas is Jesus” include the distribution of food, toys, and gifts, as well as the organization of Christmas celebrations. These events are complemented by moments of prayer, catechesis, and reflection. In this way, the volunteers not only provide material support but also strengthen the faith and Christmas spirit of all participants.
Peru: Bringing Hope to Many Places
From December 14th to 22nd, the cities of Lima, Arequipa, and Chincha will host more than 30 activities aimed at bringing joy and hope to thousands of people in need. In Lima, the campaigns will extend to areas such as Pamplona, Manchay, San Juan de Lurigancho, and Rímac, touching many hearts along the way.

In Arequipa, over 800 children will be cared for by volunteers from Universidad Católica San Pablo (UCSP), who will bring not only gifts but also moments of joy and reflection. Meanwhile, in Chincha, in the Señor de los Milagros human settlement, the solidarity initiative will reach 450 children and 150 families, who will receive food and gifts thanks to the support of local schools and parishes.
Costa Rica: A Community Commitment
In Costa Rica, the solidarity effort will include 18 gift distribution events, benefiting 970 families across 29 communities. With the hard work and dedication of around 30 volunteers, who recently took part in a training session, each activity aims to be an encounter filled with love and hope.
Ecuador: A Gesture of Solidarity
Through Pan para mi Hermano, the CLM Ecuador will benefit 300 people by distributing food baskets and clothing, as well as offering moments of prayer. The CLM Missions will also support 115 families in communities that have been accompanied throughout the year, making the Christmas season an opportunity to strengthen solidarity and faith.
Colombia: A Home of Hope

En Medellín, un hogar de niños huérfanos será el centro de una campaña muy especial, donde más de 50 voluntarios, entre jóvenes y familias, se unirán para hacer realidad una Navidad más cálida. Con cada regalo y cada gesto, se llevará el mensaje de amor y esperanza a los pequeños, en un acto que va más allá de la entrega material.
Brazil: The Joy of Sharing
In São Paulo, 80 volunteers will take part in three main activities: distributing basic food baskets, delivering gift bags for children (including clothing, shoes, and toys), and hosting a Christmas party. In Rio de Janeiro, a group of 15 volunteers will organize the distribution of basic food baskets.

Finally, in Petrópolis, the campaign will focus on the community of Meio da Serra, supporting 56 children and adolescents, as well as more than 200 family members. With the participation of 15 to 30 volunteers, the campaign in this city will include catechesis, the donation of basic baskets for Christmas dinner, the sponsorship of children (with personalized gifts), and a Christmas party with games.
