CLM Lima: A lunch to meet again and reactivate the mission of Families of Nazareth

The Christian Life Movement (CLM) organized a lunch for families from Nazareth in the city of Lima. The event, which took place last weekend at the Santa María de la Evangelización Pastoral Center, in the San Borja district, brought together around 100 families.

One of the organizing families was the Villegas Sánchez, who shared with us that the lunch was organized with the purpose of creating a space for meeting and prayer, where families could recognize themselves as part of the great family of Nazareth and strengthen their Christian commitment. During the day, individual projects that various groups and individuals have carried out were shared, thus demonstrating the entrepreneurial spirit and passion for taking God’s message to others.

Lunch, which ran from 1 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., it was full of moments of prayer, integration and fun. Games and dynamics were organized that fostered camaraderie and team spirit among the participants. The day ended with several testimonials, through which the families were able to share their experiences and reflections on the meeting.

One of the highlights was the presentation of the advance that the CLM has planned for Nazareth. Future projects include the creation of the Nazareth Coordination group, as well as the proposal for a spiritual retreat for families, which promises to be an enriching and transforming experience. These plans seek to strengthen the union and spiritual growth of the families of Nazareth, allowing them to live their vocation as apostles of the Lord Jesus.

Testimonials from some families

José Bazo and Milagros Martínez, one of the couples in attendance, expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to meet and share with other families. “The CLM is our home, in which we seek to build our Christian life in communion with other families”, they affirmed.

For their part, Isaac Abensur and Fiorella Torres highlighted the importance of meeting again and having a space dedicated to family prayer. “It has been a beautiful moment of faith and a space to be able to look at God as families”, they said excitedly.

Finally, Napoleón Fernández and Ninoska Valladares shared with us their experience at the Nazaret lunch and highlighted the importance of the union between the CLM families. “It was a very beautiful moment of meeting between married couples who share the same desire to sanctify ourselves in our families within our spiritual family”, commented Ninoska. Napoleon added: “It was very nice to resume our awareness of the apostolate and to put ourselves, in these difficult times, at the service of a mission that is not ours but the Lord’s, humbly seconding Mary our Mother”.

The opportunity was also used to share about the next international meeting, entitled “The Joy of Being a Family”, organized by the CLM and the Sodalitium Christianae Vitae, and which will take place in Cuenca, Ecuador, on the 13th, 14th and October 15th of this year.
