Piero Gamarra’s Commitments of Full Apostolic Availability in Argentina
Last Saturday, September 14th, on the feast of the Exaltation of the Cross, our brother Piero Gamarra made his Commitments of Full Apostolic Availability in perpetuity in the Sodalitium of Christian Life. The emotional celebration took place in the parish of San Manuel Mártir in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and was attended by his parents, relatives, Sodalits, friends and members of his spiritual family.

The Mass was presided over by Fr. Jaime Gómez, who in his homily addressed Piero with words of encouragement and reflection: “It is God who calls and the vocation of all of us is to respond to the Lord. You have heard your name, Piero, that is why you come today freely, but also with the conviction that He is the one who calls.”
A particularly significant moment of the celebration was the presence of a relic: splinters of the Holy Cross of Christ. Fr. Jaime reflected on the importance of this symbol, stating: “These splinters contain the strength and power of Christ’s love: The Lord died there. Your vocation must be attached to this Cross”.

At the end of the Mass, Piero addressed a few words to those present, expressing his gratitude: “First of all, gratitude to God, for all this journey on which He called me when I was turning eighteen.” He also thanked the priests who concelebrated the Eucharist, his family who traveled from Peru, his Sodalit brothers and all the members of the spiritual family.
“I ask you to pray for me, for all my Sodalit brothers, for our fidelity, for our conversion and for the entire apostolate ,” Piero concluded.
