Discovering Christmas activities that draw attention to the authentic meaning of this time in which we prepare to celebrate the birth of the Christ Child can be a great challenge. For this reason, we present three suggestions to immerse yourself in the amazement of the humility that defines the birth of Jesus through culture and solidarity action.

Turn this Christmas into a unique and deeply meaningful experience! At the end of this note we leave you a gift with resources so that you can take advantage of them at any time and place.

Visit the birth exhibition in the center of Lima

The exhibition of the XIX National Nativity Contest “Christmas is Jesus”, organized by the Cultural Theater and Social Institute (ICTYS) offers a unique experience that fuses the cultural and artisan wealth of Peru with the spiritual essence of Christmas.

This exhibition houses forty-six impressive nativity scenes made by talented artisans from various regions of the country, each representing the uniqueness and creativity of their respective artisan traditions. This diversity of styles, materials and techniques gives visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Peruvian artistic expressions.

The exhibition takes place in the House O’Higgins , located in the heart of the Historic Center of Lima, a cultural space open to the public free of charge. This historic setting offers a welcoming environment to reflect on Jesus’ humble arrival into the world.

The plot takes place in a village under the oppression of Rome, where Baryoná, the warrior chief, faces the difficult decision of swearing not to bring more children into the world to end the suffering. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when he receives news about the birth of the Messiah in Bethlehem and discovers that his wife is pregnant.
