Regional Meeting of the Sodalitium in Colombia strengthens the apostolate in common

From last Friday, April 28th to Tuesday, May 2nd, our Sodalit brothers from the communities of Colombia met at their Regional Meeting held at the Villa de Sales house in Copacabana, Antioquia.

Renzo Pava, regional superior of Sodalitium in Colombia, explains that “the regional meeting is a good space to share, thank our friendship and Sodalit vocation, and reflect together on the mission we have in Colombia, thanking God for the blessings received during these years”.

Currently, the Sodalitium Christianae Vitae has three communities in Colombia: in Medellin, the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria community; in Bogota, the Nuestra Señora de Chiquinquirá community and in Cali, the Mother of the Apostles community.

The beginning of the meeting was marked with Holy Mass in the Cathedral of Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Girardota, also an important pilgrimage sanctuary because there is the image of the fallen Lord (flagellated), a place where the brothers prayed together.

During these days, the Sodalits of the three communities in Colombia shared an update on community life and the apostolic activities carried out in the last year.

Father Alejandro Gallego, who lives in our community in Cali, shared with us that the experience of meeting the brothers has allowed us to take advantage of personal dialogues, heal fraternal relationships, find common ground, learn to work as a team and value what they do elsewhere.

The Regional Meeting of the Sodalitium in Colombia has been an enriching space from which our brothers have left with the purpose of strengthening the common work, seeking to support themselves in the apostolic activities that they carry out in the three cities.

Some of the youth apostolic activities that the Colombia Region has in common are: Convivio congresses of Catholic students, youth retreats, promotion of apostle leaders and preparation for World Youth Day.

Let us pray for the fruits of this meeting and that Our Holy Mother Mary intercede for each one of them in the evangelizing service that the Lord asks of them. If you want to know more about the Sodalitium in Colombia you can access here.
