Sodalitium Christianae Vitae in Ecuador

Sodalitium Christianae Vitae - English / Sodalitium Christianae Vitae in Ecuador

Our brothers in Ecuador with Bishop Iván Minda, Auxiliary Bishop of Guayaquil

The first Sodalitium community in Ecuador began in Santiago de Guayaquil on March 1st, 2002. A few years before, in 1996, the Christian Life Movement (CLM) had been founded in this same city, which has currently expanded to Quito, Cuenca, Manta and other cities in the country.

The Christian Life Movement , with its groups and services for young people and adults, has the support of the Sodalits, both in the promotion of the Marian Groups and the Convivio y Vivencia congresses for young people, as well as in assisting the groups of Bethany, Nazareth, Emmaus and in other activities of formation and Christian life.

Likewise, solidarity initiatives such as Bread for my brother, Siloé, and the Christmas is Jesus campaigns, among others, involve young people and adults and offer material and spiritual help to people in need.

One of the apostolic works in Ecuadorian lands is the Fundación Acción Solidaria (Solidary Action Foundation), whose proposal, inspired by the Social Teaching of the Church, includes the integral promotion of the person, attending to their material, psychological and spiritual needs. The Santiago Apóstol Educational Center, a work of the foundation, provides comprehensive education and training to children and young people who are workers or at risk of being so for the progressive eradication of child labor.
