On October 28th, 1997, the ‘Nostra Signora dell’Evangelizzazione’ center was founded in the Diocese of Rome. It was the first community of the Sodalitium Christianae Vitae outside of Latin American lands. Currently, the community resides in the convent of San Paolo alla Regola, adjacent to the church of the same name, which, according to tradition, is built on the house where the Apostle Paul stayed during his house arrest in Rome.
The Procurator General of the Sodalitium Christianae Vitae is also located in Rome.
On August 5th, 2009, the ‘Santa Maria del Lago’ community was established in the town of Nemi, in the Diocese of Albano. This community is composed of members of the Sodalitium Christianae Vitae who, in the horizon of evangelizing culture, are particularly devoted to reflection and intellectual formation.
Over the years, various apostolic initiatives have been developed within the Sodalit Family. Among them is the evangelization of youth, and solidarity apostolate, associated with the Christian Life Movement (CLM), especially through the volunteer missions to Peru project that began in 2006.
Another initiative, called ‘Incontro all’uomo’, is a cultural space for study, reflection, and dialogue on various human realities, illuminating them from the richness of faith.
