The Superior General of the Sodalitium Christianae Vitae is José David Correa González. He was elected in the V Ordinary General Assembly in January 2019.
He was born in Medellín (Colombia) on July 26, 1969. He is 49 years old. He entered the Sodalitium as an aspirant on September 4th, 1992. He made his perpetual profession on May 13, 2000.
He attended primary and secondary school in Medellín. Between 1987 and 1992 he studied public accounting at the University of Antioquia in that same Colombian city. He studied Business Administration at the Private Technical University of Loja, in Ecuador, from 2004 to 2010. He obtained the title of Engineer in Business Administration that year. He studied two semesters of Business Administration at the Universidad Católica Santa María in the city of Arequipa (Peru) in 2012.
He has held, among others, the following positions: Coordinator of the apostolate area of the Christian Life Movement in Arequipa in 1997, Head of the Nuestra Señora de la Asunción Sodalit community, also in Arequipa between 1998 and 2001, Head of the Señor de Pastoral Center the Miracles in Arequipa in 1998, Local Coordinator of the Christian Life Movement in Arequipa between 1999 and 2001, Superior of the Sodalit Inmaculada Corazón de María Community in Guayaquil (Ecuador) between 2002 and 2013.
He has also been a Professor of human subjects and consultant at the Humane Business School in Guayaquil between 2010 and 2013, Superior of the Nuestra Señora de la Alta Gracia community in Ayaviri, Puno (Peru) from 2013 to date. In this city he also served as Secretary General of Cáritas Ayaviri since 2013.
